WORKING FROM HOME WITH ALLSEATING: FINDING THE BEST CHAIRS FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES

When the pandemic hit, office buildings were closed and all employees were suddenly working from home. As workers adapted kitchen chairs, stools and other less-than-optimal choices to their new “desks,” proper ergonomics fell by the wayside. However, ergonomics is about more than comfort and style; research shows that a proper setup can reduce fatigue and make workers more efficient. In other words, the right chair can literally make you the best you can be in your workplace environment. A large Canadian insurance company understood this fact well, and came to Allseating to find a solution for their employees’ home set-ups.

Focused on how comfort and ergonomics impact worker productivity, Allseating built a Work From Home (WFH) program that provides an organization’s employees a comfortable, well-designed chair to use in their home office. When a dealer group needed to provide a solution for a large Canadian insurance company, the Allseating program was the perfect fit. The company wanted their employees to have their own personally-styled, ergonomic chair delivered to their home office, so Allseating set up a dealer-branded microsite that gave each company employee their own login linked to their email address.

Employees used the Allseating created microsite to select the finishes of their chair, validate their address and add special handling. Once this information was filled out, Allseating did all the backend/behind the scenes work to get the employee their chair, including providing tracking updates, warranty and assembly information through the microsite. Allseating also handled hundreds of customer live chats throughout the process, giving employees the opportunity to ask questions and gain clarification. The WFH program was immensely successful as Allseating was able to provide this company’s employees the opportunity to sit comfortably and ergonomically while working at home.

The client was so pleased, that when the large insurance company later acquired a financial group through a merger, engaging with the dealer was an obvious solution to continue Allseating’s WFH program and get their 3000 new employees their own expertly crafted chairs. Allseating’s sales representatives went above and beyond, working closely with the dealer to ensure the program ran smoothly. Daily “check-in” calls continue to circumvent any issues that may arise and to date, any issues have been minor. Overall, Allseating has demonstrated notable customer service and has supported their client every step of the way. With an innovative program, a repeat, satisfied client and most importantly, 3000+ workers with proper, ergonomically-sound chairs in their home offices, Allseating demonstrated industry leadership and and unmatched customer service.
