This year, Allseating initiated a partnership with the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID), an accreditation leader for the healthcare industry. Founded in 2004, AAHID sets a standard to enhance the health, quality and safety of healthcare interior environments through an understanding of the issues that impact patients, residents, family members, and healthcare providers.
“Partnering with AAHID supports our goal to design seating solutions for healthcare with the best knowledge available,” says Michelle Crill, Allseating’s Healthcare Program Director. “AAHID designers have all been involved in healthcare design for more than three years so are in the position to offer us their expertise based on experience.”
Along with taking advantage of the opportunity to network with members and stay abreast of trends and concerns within the healthcare industry, Allseating will invite AAHID members to evaluate products in development. “Research has shown that patient-centered design and evidence-based design resulting from partnerships with experienced and knowledge designers improves patient outcomes,” says Crill.
Currently, Allseating’s range of seating solutions fulfill needs across the entire continuum of care. This includes the Foster and Halsa lines for guests and patients, the You chair and other task chairs for caregivers, conference and executive seating, and multi-purpose products for common areas and for educational use.
